The ABC of Angel Communication
A few words to begin…
Thank you—and congratulations from the angels—for having the courage to make it this far. For some strange reason, asking for angelic help is easily labelled a sign of weakness. But the exact opposite is true! Turning to Heaven shows courage, because it means trusting something you cannot see with your eyes. After all, it takes considerably more nerve to say, “I’ve just had a long chat with my angel to receive reliable guidance about moving house” than to say, “I just called a handyman service to get some help hanging my pictures.” Try it during a coffee break at work and see how differently people react.
Here in the “physical world,” it feels perfectly natural to ask the most suitable person for help: a plumber when the pipes are blocked, a doctor when our health is failing, or a consultant when we want advice. We can turn to Heaven just as naturally, whatever our background or situation—with the delightful difference that heavenly help is always free, help is available for EVERY situation, no prayer ends up in Heaven’s junk folder, and the heavenly network is never overloaded.
Below are 15 tips that summarise what I have learned about angel communication. Thank you, Dear Heaven, for all the hardships: without them I would hardly know how wonderfully varied your help can be. Although my faith and trust have sometimes wavered, your faith in me has never faltered. THANK YOU, God, and THANK YOU, angels! Special thanks to Riitta-Marja Gauffin for her angel cards and book, which inspired me to create angel texts of my own. I sincerely hope that each of you discovers angelic help in your life—in your own unique way! Click the bold heading to reveal the explanatory text.
- 1. Who can ask the angels for help?
The answer is simple: EVERYONE—people of every religion or none, children, teenagers, adults, men and women. Every one of us is a child of our Creator, equally loved and equally entitled to heavenly help. - 2. How could an angel help ME when I’ve NEVER believed in God?
Even if YOU do not believe in angels or God, that does not stop them believing in and loving you exactly as you are. From birth, at least two personal Guardian Angels walk beside us, one with feminine and one with more masculine energy. Children often experience angels and other beings of light naturally; adults may dismiss such experiences as nonsense. The angels never abandon us, but step into the background as tireless guardians. If you one day ask for their help, Heaven celebrates: their most important task is to guide and love YOU. - 3. Why would God and His angels want to help EVERYONE?
The answer is LOVE. God and the angelic realm hope that each of us discovers HIM within: our divine light of peace, joy and love. Each of us is a unique, beloved messenger with an individual mission of light. At birth God gives us the cards needed for our purpose; our challenge is to recognise them within ourselves. - 4. How are we ALL messengers of divine light?
Each of us has a Soul Plan whose purpose is to help us recognise our own light for our own joy and that of others. Because we are ALL creations of God, He and His angels love us infinitely. In God’s eyes we are perfect as we are, because everything we do ultimately has a divine origin and forms part of our search for His light, even when we do not realise it. - 5. Try finding the light when life is kicking you in the teeth…
We came to Earth to learn life in a human body, and learning can hurt. Even when everything crumbles, divine LOVE remains behind the experience, and we are NEVER alone. Angels cannot remove our growth challenges—though I admit I have asked—but they gladly help us through them. We decide whether to use unpleasant events as lessons. Blaming ourselves or others does not move us forward. What would we be doing here if we were born fully enlightened masters of life? - 6. What help can I ask for myself?
You can ask for help with ANYTHING: grief, conflict, everyday problems, answers—even personal training! First decide WHAT YOU WANT HELP WITH, so the angels can target their help. Never be ashamed of wishes, feelings, fears or actions. Heaven knows small things can feel huge and wants to help with everything. God is glad when life flows better, freeing you to radiate your light. Suffering and gloom have no value in themselves; He wants you to find joy, light and love within. - 7. What help can I ask for others—and enemies?
The angels delight when you ask for others: it increases Earth’s light. Ask for strength, healing, confidence or comfort, but neither you nor the angels can remove another’s lessons or Soul Plan. Ask that they recognise their resources and hidden blessings. Worry does not help; faith, hope and love do. When unsure, send LOVE AND LIGHT—even to an enemy. You can create an angel ball filled with loving thoughts, music and colours: green for a cold, magenta for relaxation, silver for positivity, dark blue for calm. The angels help choose. A ball made with a friend is more than 1+1. - 8. Don’t angels have working hours?
Heaven has no labour agreements or overtime quotas. It knows only LOVE, which has no quota. Your angels and God are always there when you ask. Archangels can be in many places at once, so asking them for help TAKES NOTHING AWAY from anyone else. - 9. What if I pray, try my best—and mess up AGAIN?
God’s and the angels’ love IS endless and independent of what you do. No one learns life without mistakes; trying again after apparent failure is courage. EVERYONE except perhaps a few natural-born saints has messed up, moved forward and learned. In God’s eyes there is no sin, because mistakes move us onward. It would be strange to send us to learn life and love, then condemn the learning. God and the angels know our Soul Contracts and never judge us. Nor should we judge each other—though that is difficult! - 10. Where can I ask for help?
Anywhere and anytime—on the way to work, in the forest or while cleaning. The connection between Heaven and you is always open; you decide whether to open your side. The more you trust, the more clearly you hear. Trust takes practice, but it is worth it. God and the angels love me EXACTLY as I am and offer support 25 hours a day, eight days a week. What a GIFT! - 11. How can I ask the angels for help?
Talk to your angel anywhere: “My dear angel, I feel confused and saddened by what I have experienced. Help and comfort me, and help me understand the blessing, purpose and lesson. Thank you.” You may also use angel cards. Angels respect free will and rarely intervene unless asked. Whatever comes, first accept and bless it, then explore its lesson with your angels. Resistance makes help harder. Later I ALWAYS see the blessing and understand why it happened. - 12. How do I know WHICH angel to turn to?
The important thing is simply to ask for help. Heaven applauds because it gets to help YOU. Your own Guardian Angels know you best and each has a name you can ask. Tell them everything. When things go REALLY badly, I curl under the covers and ask their wings around me, then pour out EVERYTHING—certain it will not appear in a gossip magazine! If needed, your angels call the mighty Archangels, who have their own areas of expertise. - 13. How do I know the angels have answered?
Angelic help is not always as direct as earthly help. Stay alert: an answer may be a sudden thought, music on the radio, a relevant article or programme, the right person or a white feather. God’s and the angels’ imagination is limitless—and the angel crew has humour! Answers often require silence and peace. Angel cards can keep the mind from interfering. Presence may feel like warmth, tingling, touch or coolness. Your angel has countless ways to say they are near. - 14. What if no answer comes—have I been forgotten?
Heaven has no forgotten-prayers folder. Human timing differs from Heaven’s, while we want everything-right-now. Trusting unseen work is difficult; sometimes we must wade through adversity to learn and receive what we truly hope for. God’s Plan or our Soul Plan may differ from the MIND/EGO. LET GO OF WORRY after handing it over. A child gripping a broken toy prevents the parent repairing it. My angel card says: “Accept Heaven’s Help and Get Out of the Way!!” - 15. What should I do when my prayers have been answered?
The angels rejoice with you and are delighted when you remember to THANK them. They also hope you will thank and praise God for every gift you receive.
